Welcome to the Plain English version of Tomorrow’s Energy Scenarios (TES) 2023. This document aims to provide a clear, concise summary of the full Tomorrow’s Energy Scenarios report, which explores different scenarios for enabling a cleaner energy system based on renewables.

The grid requires unprecedented change in the lead up to 2030. The main objective of the Shaping Our Electricity Future Roadmap Version 1.1 is to outline how we can make the grid ready so that 80% of Ireland’s and Northern Ireland’s electricity can come from renewable sources, like the wind and sun, by 2030.

That is why their Public Engagement Model has continued to evolve as SONI works to ensure it is responsive to the changing context in Northern Ireland.
